2. Accounts and Registration
Certain features of ExoAtlas require you to create an account. You may register using an email address and password, phone number (OTP), or a third-party authentication provider such as Google OAuth. By creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration;
- Maintain and promptly update your account information;
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with others;
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account;
- Notify ExoAtlas immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
ExoAtlas LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion, including for suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
3. Subscription Plans and Billing
ExoAtlas offers both free and paid subscription tiers:
- Free Plan — Access to core tools, applications, and data catalog with standard rate limits and ad-supported experience.
- Pro Plan — Enhanced access including increased API rate limits, ad-free experience, priority data updates, and additional features as described on our Pricing page.
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:
- Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before the renewal date.
- Payment: You authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method for the applicable subscription fees. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
- Price Changes: ExoAtlas LLC reserves the right to modify subscription pricing. You will be notified of any price changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the paid plan after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Billing page or Stripe's customer portal. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.
- Failed Payments: If a payment fails, we may retry the charge or suspend your access to Pro features until the payment issue is resolved.
4. Refund Policy
All subscription payments are non-refundable except in the following circumstances:
- You were charged in error due to a system or billing malfunction;
- You cancel within 48 hours of your initial subscription purchase and have not made substantial use of Pro features.
Refund requests should be submitted to contact@exoatlas.com. ExoAtlas LLC will review each request on a case-by-case basis and reserves the right to approve or deny refund requests at its sole discretion.
5. Use of the Site
ExoAtlas is a platform providing interactive tools for celestial data visualization, astronomical calculations, space launch tracking, and orbital mechanics analysis. The Site includes both free and paid tiers of service, with tools and applications powered by data from NASA JPL, IAU Minor Planet Center, and other public sources. You agree not to use the Site or its content:
- For any mission-critical, life-safety, or navigation purposes;
- To upload or distribute malicious code, or conduct automated attacks;
- To violate any local, national, or international law;
- To interfere with the functionality or accessibility of the site, webhost, CDN, or domain name service (DNS);
- To scrape, redistribute, or republish site content or API data without authorization;
- To circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures.
ExoAtlas LLC reserves the right to restrict access to users found to be in violation of these terms.
6. API Access and Rate Limits
ExoAtlas provides API access to its data catalog and services. API usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier:
- Free Plan: 10 API requests per day
- Pro Plan: 1,000 API requests per day
Rate limits are enforced on a per-account, per-day basis and reset at midnight UTC. You agree to:
- Not circumvent, bypass, or attempt to exceed rate limits through any means, including the use of multiple accounts;
- Not redistribute, resell, or sublicense API data or access to third parties without written authorization;
- Use API data only for lawful purposes consistent with these Terms;

9. Data Sources and Intellectual Property
The orbital element data, ephemerides, and astronomy datasets used on ExoAtlas.com are aggregated from public domain sources including NASA JPL Horizons, IAU Minor Planet Center, and The Launch Library 2 API. Data is served via our CDN infrastructure (data.exoatlas.com) for improved performance and reliability.
While we strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date data through automated pipelines, information may not always be current and should not be relied upon for navigation, mission planning, spaceflight operations, or any real-world application requiring precision.
